Furry Friends Spa and Daycare, formerly Dawn of a New Day, opened its doors 15 years Ago. In November 2014, the business moved to a new location situated on Hawthorne avenue near the Rideau canal: We modernized the grooming salon and opened a doggie daycare and a cat boarding facility. The owner, Chantal Raby, worked as a licensed physiotherapist for almost 20 years. She now combines her love for animals with her experience with physical care. Through the years, she has developed a cat grooming service and went to South Carolina in 2009 To become a certified feline master groomer with NCCIA. She also obtained the title of certified master groomer with IPG ( international certified groomers ) and CPPS ( Canadian Professional Pet Stylists ) in 2015. She holds a high standard of quality in the salon and firmly believes that pets deserve the best. She was recently accepted to the animal rehabilitation program with the Canadian Physiotherapy Association. She is really excited about that new challenge. She shares her life with her 13 years old Airedale Thalie, Chihuahua Big Ben, Mini wirehaired dachshund Picottine, Cairn Terrier Frimousse and hound mix Birch that she found attached to a tree a few years ago.
